Long time no see.

There are some weeks, even months when you plan all kinds if things you have to do but at the end of the day, or the week, you have only done half of them. Sometimes life takes just over.

I made some celebrationflags, about 20 bibs in all kind of colors, made also 25 little rice pillows and 10 pair of fleece hot socks and worked at my Josephs Coat Quilt Along too.

Sorry that I don't have pictures. Normally I upload my pictures direct to my Facebook account, i can do that while I'm making the picture at the moment. But FB changed something so I can't download my pics anymore. So no more pics from me at facebook better keep them somewhere else. I think Facebook really sucks but what else to do if you want keep in contact with friends and family oversea.

In stead of quilting and sewing pictures I put some pictures from our balloon hunting last summer. :))

Mom

My mom passed away on 28 of August in a peacefull way. May her soul rest in piece. Bye bye Dear Mama-San.

New Phone

A few days ago I purchased a new phone.
I not a person that buys a new phone every year.
 I will take you to a tour. You'll see the phones I owned.
This one was my first, I think it was in 1992 but it could be 1 year earlier because I'm not quite sure. It was a really big one. When I want to take it with me in my little bag I had to take of the antenne!At this one you see that the antenne is shortened.

Then I got this one, everybody was laughing out loud when my old big phone was ringing and it was time to get a new one.(I thought this was the Nokia 3310)

In 2001 or 2002 I purchased this one. It was great because I could connect it with my palmtop and the GPRS from my phone connect with the citymaps of my palmtop. Wow I had my own Gadwinsytem with this!
I really loved this phone because it had infra-red so it could talk to my laptop. I could swap with it and email and it even had bluetooth. It was a very good phone and it is still working. But it had bluetooth1 and everything else has now a days bluetooth 2 so it can't connect anymore. My palmtop died years ago and is replaced by a notebook and I have a  little gadwinsystem for in my car, I have cards to travel trough whole Europe. And the emailfunction doesn't work anymore because my provider doesn't support that function for this phone anymore. So after 8 or 9 years it was time for a new one.

And a few days ago this 3G 5230 phone . I LOVE IT!!! First I was looking for the HTC mini but I'm a Nokia lover so it was Nokia again. (And it has internet, email and citymaps, isn't it awesome!) How long would this one last?

I Won a BIKE!!

Recently I won a bike. I won it at a National Lotery. It was also on tv but I didn't vieuw so I missed it. Then my neighbor told me that the whole street who joined the National Lotery has won a bike.
It's a cuty but it will take about 8 weeks before I receive my brand new bike.

Giro d Italia

The Giro d'Italia did start in the Netherlands and Monday I had the change to see them, and I did!
Usually I'm not into sportsthings at all. But when you see those sportsmen real close it's awesome! And they did go really fast! Wow it impressend me so much.

When it was winter DD and her best friends went shopping to find the most perfect dress they could found. :)

Red Sun by Volcanic Ash

The weather channels forecasted a ‘red-sun’ in the evening of 16 april 2010 en also 17 april 2010 due to Volcanic ash in the upper atmosphere, coming from the erupted Icelandic Volcano in the Eyjafjallajoekull area a few days before.

All flights in and out of the Netherlands have been suspended as ash from a volcanic eruption in Iceland moves south.

Safety body Eurocontrol said up to 4,000 flights across northern Europe had so far been affected by the cloud.The Air Traffic Control Service said no flights would be allowed in or out of the Netherlands airspace for now.
The airspace restriction was the most significant in living memory, a spokesman said.
Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark were among the European countries hit.
The restrictions were imposed after the Met Office warned the ash was sufficient to clog engines.
Passengers were advised to contact their carriers prior to travel.
Experts have warned that the tiny particles of rock, glass and sand contained in the ash cloud would be sufficient to jam aircraft engines.

DD was testing her bakingskills today. It turned out well. Yummie!! :))

Scheveningen

I love Scheveningen. We stayed a couple of days in the Carlton Beach Hotel. First I show you the room and below you find some nice pictures from my walk along the beach at 06:20 till 7:10 in the morning. It's such nice to see how the light changes from night till day. The pictures look darker than it actually was. That because I used my flashlight.

Huisnumber/ Number of da house

The pictures are not very clear. The flashlight blinds the number, and without flash you can't see the colors very good.

We bought it in Spain, I love souvenirs. :)

De foto's zijn niet zo helder. Met flits wordt een nummer verblind en zonder flits krijg je vale kleuren.

We kochten dit in Spanje. Ik hou van souvenirs! :)

In de laatste maanden van 2010 heb ik megaveel gemaakt, Ook foto's genomen maar ik ben mijn kaartje van het toestel kwijt, dat heb je als je teveel opruimt. Wanneer ik mijn kaartje heb laat ik jullie meteen mijn maaksels zien. Tot dan blijf ik gewoon doorgaan met naaien enzo.
